Classrooms and Equipment

Each class has the use of two spacious rooms. Children have access to a computer blocks, trains, costumes, dolls, and housekeeping equipment, puzzles, paints, clay, climbing equipment, numerous small animals and other varied resources of the classroom.

Daily Outdoor Play

Classes use the outdoor playground equipment daily. Our challenging equipment helps promote large motor growth. Playground equipment includes a freestanding climber with two slides, four seated teeter, balance beam, tire swing, bikes, wagons, and a large sand box. In the winter weather, children use snow shovels, make tunnels and paths, and enjoy the snow as a medium for creative play.

Curriculum

Class time begins with a self-directed activity directly related to the curriculum theme. Children work on project such as making applesauce during the fall, making wreaths and menorahs during the holidays, and planting seeds in the spring. The projects vary depending on the ages of the children. During this period, the children also engage in creative play, individually or with classmates. The class ends with a group period where children gather together for story time, music and snack provided by the parent helper.
